CONTINUING EDUCATION IN FOREST FINANCE AND ECONOMIC - The Department of Forest and Wood Science, Stellenbosch University, South Africa, will be presenting a Forest Finance and Economics Course as from 2008.  The course will comprise two, one-week intensive contact (block) sessions during May and September/October, with additional assignments and other specific tasks to be completed during the balance of the period. The course will review and introduce financial decision-making for foresters to improve overall timberland and land-use management. The course is primarily intended for forestry professionals and land managers who must make decisions about timber management operations and who want to improve financial returns. The course may also benefit other company personnel who are involved in financial aspects of forest operations.
